WHAT ARE THE MOST COMMON REASONS PEOPLE DECIDE TO START A BUSINESS?

Based upon our research, most individuals that seek out a business opportunity do so for one of the following reasons:

1. Financial Independence

It is true, punching a clock will never enable you to attain financial freedom. Trading your labor for a wage may result in a relatively comfortable living, but ultimately, you will never be financially free.

Owners of companies gain wealth because they have leveraged their time by hiring employees and/or by selling a product or service that provides repeat and residual income. For instance, some of the biggest companies in the world made their fortunes through the sale of consumables. Johnson and Johnson, Nabisco, Starbucks, Proctor & Gamble, and Kraft are examples of some companies that created market demand for their consumable products, and then reaped huge profits through repeat sales of the consumable.

You have a similar opportunity by owning your own tea business.

2. Flexibility

One of the major benefits of financial independence is flexibility.

Owning your own business provides you with the flexibility to set your own hours. Bottom line, by owning your own business you gain the flexibility to pursue other life pursuits, such as hobbies, travel, and other personal interests.

One of the main benefit of owning a business is you have the flexibility to involve family members in the business operations. In fact, several of our distributors are pursuing their tea businesses as family ventures.

3. Control

Perhaps, the greatest benefit you gain from financial independence and flexibility is greater control over your life. Owning a business empowers you to determine your own destiny, on your own terms. Owning a business requires persistent commitment, passion, and of course, hard work. In the end, the effort is worth it because of the piece of mind you gain.

When I started my first business in my early twenties, "control" was my primary motivation. I was employed as a teaching assistant, caretaker, clerk, and had several other jobs. At the time, I realized that life had much more to offer and that I could only attain my dreams if I took control of my destiny and started my own business. Hence, began a long journey in which I tried to learn as much as I could about business and participated in many different business ventures which included: network marketing, get rich schemes, Internet commodity brokering, mail order, real estate, vending, financial planning, export management, consulting, and many other businesses.

I learned three major lessons from these business experiences:.

First, if it feels uncomfortable it is probably the right thing to do. Risk is uncomfortable because it forces you to leave your comfort zone. When you make the decision to do something out of the ordinary, you are probably taking action that will have a life changing experience.

Second, even if a business you invest into does not meet all of your expectations, it is not failure as long as you learn valuable lessons from that experience.

Finally, if it sounds too good to be true, it usually is. Anyone that tells you that you will make a million dollars with little or no effort or risk is usually telling a lie.

Success in business is only possible through commitment, a well thought out plan, massive execution of the plan through hard work and dedication, and most importantly, passionate belief. Passionate belief is very important because it forces you to focus on your lifelong goals and dreams. After all, it is goals that create your life path.
